This software utility lets you calculate the cost of gas use based on current consumption, future time and predicted changes in prices.
EnCalcGU calculates the cost of gas used. It will take into account real cost based on meter readings. Predicted costs can be calculated based on the readings and elapsed time. You can have this data saved in a file for future analysis. It will take into account the different charging rates for gas at different times of the day or alternative rates based on a preset threshold, etc. It will take into account varying tax rates plus fixed charges and discounts enabling most charging models to be handled. Discounts also can be worked into the models to give you an accurate prediction. Fixed discounts or a percentage based discount can be taken into account. These will let you make some what-if situation studies like if your gas bill is correct, if it is worth going to a different supplier, etc.
If you are conscious about the CO2 generation, it also calculates the amount of CO2 generated. You can keep track of how much CO2 you are generating every quarter. That might lead you to decide you want to reduce the gas consumption. The tool can take into account several factors such as; changing charging rates for gas based on a preset threshold, different calorific values/correction factors, imperial and metric meters, varying tax rates plus fixed charges and discounts, etc. This has a simple and easy to use interface. It is intuitive enough that most users should get familiar with it quite easily. Getting productive with it should not take much time. This is a good product. It has many useful features. If you were looking for a product like this, this is one you could try out.
